Zuki ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Khalilou Koïta. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Zuki mobile application ("App").

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Name (first name only, entered during onboarding)
• Email address (via Apple Sign In or Google Sign In)

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Knowledge domains and interests selected during onboarding
• Quiz performance and scores per domain
• Content viewed in the Feed (last 40 cards)
• URLs submitted to the Learned feature
• App usage patterns via PostHog analytics
• Subscription status via RevenueCat

2.3 Information we do NOT collect

• Full name or surname
• Phone number
• Location data
• Camera or microphone access
• Contacts
• Payment information (handled entirely by Apple)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Personalize your knowledge feed and quiz difficulty
• Generate AI-powered content tailored to your interests
• Track your learning progress and streaks
• Process your subscription via Apple In-App Purchase
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Send optional learning reminders (only if you grant permission)

4. AI-Generated Content

Zuki uses Google Gemini 3 Flash to generate personalized knowledge cards and quiz questions. Content from URLs you submit (YouTube videos, articles, Wikipedia pages) is sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. We do not store the full content of submitted URLs — only the extracted facts and quiz questions generated from them.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in:

• Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud) — profile, scores, learning history
• Firebase Authentication (Google Cloud) — identity
• SharedPreferences — local device storage for cache

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Firebase enforces strict security rules ensuring each user can only access their own data.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, cloud functions

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at contact.korbit@gmail.com. Account deletion is processed within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Zuki is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
